Monster Manual Monday – M Medusa

It’ll be no surprise to Princess Planet readers that I love to draw Medusa. What is weird is that Dungeons and Dragons use the term “medusa” for this monster while using “gorgon” to mean a steel-skinned bull which breathes deadly gas.

I like the medusas with tail instead of legs. There’s no clear term for these – “naga” and “lamia” are sometimes used, although those also have other meanings.

Ribuprissin – The Medusa from Clash of the Titans was a great example of that. I also remember one from a Lou Ferigno Hercules movie where she had a scorpion body below her waist which was also pretty boss.
