Spelleton’s Revenge pt 1

Growing up beside Toronto our local version of this was “If all your friends jumped off the CN Tower…” and it wasn’t until I was a teenager that I heard the cliff version that I imagine you get if you don’t have a Brooklyn Bridge, Big Ben or Nakatomi Plaza nearby.

Peer pressure was never an issue for me. I think it’s because at a very early age I was already being made fun of a lot. I quickly came to grips with the idea that some people might not like me for being me. Whatever. It may have also been helped by the fact that our grade’s bullies were also our class clowns, so when they were making fun of me, sometimes even I found it funny.

  1. Mike

The funny I grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan and we have no cliffs or tall buildings. We got the cliff version.

  2. ...

Being Dutch I grew up with the version with a ditch. I guess the country really is too flat.

  3. Liza

Growing up in the US farm country, I always heard the bridge version. (And we had lots of cliffs, so why use a generic bridge, I ask you?)
