Epic Sail – part 37
The fight will conclude next week.
The idea of a boat changing into a robot was probably inspired by Joel Trussell’s video for Jason Forest’s War Photographer song. He’s a super talented artist who makes great animated films. After I knew I wanted to draw the Iron Mermaiden would be a giant metal foe, and I had established the Booty Queen can change forms, it seemed a no-brainer.

cooool stuff keeps happening in this comic.
boats are not easy to design as transformers! i did one once but i cheated and put it at the top of a hidden underwater tower that became the bulk of the robot.. the boat just became awkward wooden clogs the robot was wearing

Ribuprissin – wrong kind of booty
ColdFusion – Thanks! I cheated and just ignored all attempts at plausibility. Have you see the Titanic-bot? My friend had it back in high school. Awesomely ridiculous.

I’ve been trying to think of something clever to say about this strip… something about ‘pointed’ or ‘piercing’… but it seems my wit just isn’t sharp enough. 😐

‘But this castle doesn’t HAVE a colossus mode!’
‘Yes it does. You just don’t know about it!'”

Why do they need a transformer? They already have the correct voltage.
