Shadows of Dooooom! – part 20

Whitey’s on the Moon is a song by Gil Scott Heron, the poet/musician who is famous for saying The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. I enjoy a lot of funk and soul music from the 70s, of which hits by Heron are included. Two of my favourites are Home is Where the Hatred is (which was sampled by Kanye West in My Way Home) and The Bottle. Despite being born in the 70s I didn’t really get into the music until the 90s when a friend of mine, Kagan McLeod (of History of Rap fame) made me a mixed CD of a lot of great, soulful sounds.

    Your taste.
So PP has only one moon. I thought all science fiction planets were required to have at least two moons.

Ribuprissin – My taste what? Yeah, I know I’m letting you down with only one moon. Maybe I’ll have to have a storyline where they add a second one. The other moon gives birth. Or they make a new moon out of unwanted stuff from the Planet. Or the moon from another planet moves in because the other planet was too boring.

It’s a typo in the comic. “your taste”, not “you’re taste”.

What’s wrong with disco calypso?! 🙂

Btw, was Calypso an intentional reference to the name of a moon? (of Saturn)

  5. Fat Sweaty

Where’s all the fat people? Snowman is the only character “built for comfort”. What’s up with that? A little more sweat wouldn’t hurt either.

  6. Scarodactyl

I find the concept of moon-base-owning undead… thrilling.

  7. admin

Scarodactyl – huh. I never got into Dr. Mc Ninja but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised I wasn’t the first one to come up with undead on the moon.

A few of your jokes have appeared in other places, but most of them are pretty funny whether of not you’ve heard other versions. If you ever feel like wasting another few hours on TVTropes, look up Tropes Are Tools (aka Tropes Are Not Bad).
