I Get Jokes
Keen eyed readers will notice that this is an ’08 comic. Huh? Well, this comic ran in this past March’s Owl Magazine and made 6 months before it came out. Part of the agreement of them running it was that I couldn’t put it anywhere else for 6 months after it came out. That makes the fall scene conpletely appropirate now! Every year I used to go see the fall colours up at the McMichael gallery, a bit outside of Toronto. They have a great collection of Group of Seven paintings. For those non-Canucks, the Group of Seven is probably the most important collection of Canadian artists (well until TXcomics, :P). They travelled across the country painting landscapes and using a more of a designer’s eye to flora and rocks and clouds. If you check the forums, I have a thread called Artists Who Inspire Me, and you can see some of my favourite memebers’ work and read about me meeting one of them!
Keen minded readers might speculate that the robot is actually me as a teenager being a complete smart ass.

Ohh… that group of seven. Ahem. Not the group that was formally the G7…
